Surgical robots (da Vinci) augment surgeons but don't replace them. The combination of manual dexterity, real-time clinical judgment, patient interaction, and liability creates the strongest lag defence in any profession. AI will improve surgical outcomes via imaging and planning, but the hands-in-body work remains human. For now, and likely for decades.
