About CopeCheck Careers

What is this?

CopeCheck Careers tracks AI exposure across jobs and university degrees, scoring the level of cope -- the gap between what people say about AI's impact on careers and what the data actually shows.

Every job and degree is scored using the Discontinuity Thesis v3.3 Oracle Protocol, the same methodology used across the CopeCheck Network.

How scores work

AI Exposure Score (0-100): How much of the job or degree's core activities can be performed or replaced by current AI systems.

Cope Score (0-100): How much cope surrounds the discourse about this career's AI resilience. Scored across five DT 3.3 tests:

Unit-Cost Collision
30%
When AI makes a task 10x cheaper, the human doing that task loses leverage.
Interface Collapse
25%
The gap between what AI can do and what remains exclusively human is closing.
Propagation Blindness
25%
Failure to trace how displacement cascades through supply chains and career ladders.
Coordination Feasibility
20%
Does the proposed solution require coordination that has never existed at scale?

Cope verdicts

80+ Pure Cope -- Completely disconnected from reality
60-79 Heavy Cope -- Significant reality distortion
40-59 Partial Cope -- Some valid points, some cope
20-39 Somewhat Lucid -- Mostly grounded
0-19 Actually Addresses Reality -- Rare. Cherish it.

Data sources

Employment data from the UK Office for National Statistics (ONS), US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), HESA graduate data, and public APIs. Automation probabilities reference Frey & Osborne (2017), updated with current AI capability assessments.
