AI tutoring is better than human instruction for content delivery. But schools serve a dual function: education and childcare. Society needs physical buildings with adult supervision for children. This isn't a cope -- it's a structural reality. Teachers survive not because AI can't teach, but because parents need somewhere for kids to go. The degree has value, but the 'noble profession' narrative hides a babysitting subsidy.
